yes, i'm sure people with big families don't work their asses off and don't put nearly as much effort as the ones who "join the wealthy"

Absolutely not. I love what I am studying, and I love the idea of eventually working as a doctor. But if I, as a future doctor, were to earn as much as a nurse, I would become a nurse. And this isn't the best example, because nurses have Higher Educations too.

Different incomes exist for a reason, but that doesn't mean the distribution and the differences are well applied.

True. But what are your suggestions for change? This curve is now very difficult to change because it's a snowball, really.

In Southern Europe they do. Not in Germany.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

Yes. Nurses do vocational training at a further education school, but not at university.

In here it's a Bachelor's degree. The school are called "University of Applied Sciences" but they don't give Master's degrees. I think it might be 4 years though.

After Nadal beat Monfils at Doha, before AO 2014

Only Del Potro can take him out before the semis, and he won't. Nadal is winning the AO, bet your house on it.
Somewhere out there, there is a homeless person who once took betting advice from GSMnadal

it's a net cost. You can work hard caring for family, doing volunteer work or whatever but it isn't gonna make you wealthy.

Talking effort purely to make money. Not effort in general. Big difference.

Re: Wealth distribution in the USA

If more knew the actual facts, I wonder what the impact would be on voting patterns and public pressure on politicians.

Most expect and consider a differential reasonable, but the extent of differential is extreme. The system is not working for the masses regardless of your political or economic views.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.

The facts are there for everyone to see, but sadly a large part of the voting population isn´t interested enough to find things out for themselves. They then become brainwashed by the empty promises every party makes just before the elections.

Abraxas and his constant whine over America!
