Re: Is the world getting better?

Global debt slavery is very real, for all. Until the truth becomes widely known, then a new renaissance will not arrive. We won't evolve as a species if we keep on giving away our liberties. Very few democratic governments elected are in control.

The answer is no, though we are led to believe we are.

When a government is dependent upon bankers for money, they and not the leaders of the government control the situation, since the hand that gives is above the hand that takes. Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain."

~Napoleon Bonaparte

Re: Is the world getting better?

Yup I know that quote.

And Buonaparte knew what he was talking about, he was the first to borrow money from bankers, 100 years before the Fed was created.

He created the Banque de France, with a name that suggested it was a public service while it was a private insitution. Just like the Fed.

There were 3 Swiss behind:
-Benjamin DELESSERT (1773-1847)
-Guillaume MALLET ( 1847 - 1826)
- Jean Frédérick PERRÉGAUX (1744 - 1808)

And one Frenchman:
- Jean Barthélemy LE COUTEULX DE FRESNELLES (1746 - 1818)

Henri Guillemin completely dismantled Buonaparte on that matter.

Re: Is the world getting better?

My theory is that the best time ever to live was the period between WWII and 9/11.

Now I don't care if I get blown up tomorrow, my bucket list is almost complete. Just Rome and Venice to do. Maybe Naples for a pizza and a Vesuvian eruption. And, oh yes, Nova Scotia for lobsters.

I would not like to be in my twenties at this juncture. It can only get worse.

from an economic standpoint, especially in the west, yes.

the western economy grew and grew. nowadays uncertainty prevails and that obviously affects small countries like mine, esp. commodity prices of which chile is heavily dependent.

i've got a big part of my savings in the stock market. i have already lost about 4K

No, not your skeletons, those of our international-robin-hood-jihadist.

The world will not get better when Trudeau Jr. is elected so I don't blame you. Would you vote for the hockey party? Now that would be a landslide!

Re: Is the world getting better?

I truly hope the world does get better

Had possibly the worst week of my life last week

Maybe tennis was the only thing that didn't feel different

Even though I'm feeling pretty shitty right now, I realise its all relative. And there are so many people who have suffered so much worse in their life. I still can't even pluck up the courage to tell my Islamic family I found Christ and he's the only one who gets me through the day.

God is Love. To know Love is to know God. So ask yourself if you hold any hate for another in your heart how can you have room for Love, room for God

More relevant than ever, actually.

Tomic [tom-ic] [tom-ic-ing]
verb
1. apply yourself for a small period of time before giving up. (I am tomicing this match).
noun
2. play exceedingly well for a month and then give fallacious promises to the world. (He performed a Tomic)
