Re: What do you think about the Catholic Church?

I always wonder how many people still belong to this group. To me the Catholic Church is nothing better than any other sect. And I am not talking about all the crimes of the church in the past. Altough that would be reason enough to condemn the Catholic Church.

But the views of the church about prevention, homosexuality etc. etc. are out of the question!

The way the church tried to cover the abuse affair is criminal!

And there were some shocking news in the last time in Germany. A ***** women was send away from two Catholic hospitals because she wanted the morning-after pill! What the hell........

Re: What do you think about the Catholic Church?

Tries to do good but also does a lot of bad. If the catholic countries were more "moderate" Christians such as some protestants, things would probably be better since they wouldn't have such strict views on condoms, homosexuality and abortion.

After Nadal beat Monfils at Doha, before AO 2014

Somewhere out there, there is a homeless person who once took betting advice from GSMnadal

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

Re: What do you think about the Catholic Church?

Although I am not a religious person I have a deep respect for people who are religious, as long as they are not right-wing fundamentalists prone to violence. I have religious people in my family and among my friends and we get along great.

Re: What do you think about the Catholic Church?

The Catholic Church isn't my denomination. They're fundamentally flawed, but I think the idea that the Catholic Church should be disbanded is ludicrous. They are part of Christianity, and should be forever.

I agree, there's no reason to single out the Catholic Church. We'd all be best without all branches of christiniaty.

To be honest, I struggle to make any sense of this post. What do you mean?

At least one person wouldn't - you would have nothing whine about then

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Re: What do you think about the Catholic Church?

"If you ever find the perfect church, don't join it because you'll ruin it."

One of the most pithy and brilliant quotes I've ever heard. Like a slap to the face with a pair of leather gloves, it brings reality into sharp focus. If you doubt it, you are blind to your own nature.

I don't want to bash the CC, but I understand why Protestantism was born.

I prefer worshiping Satan. There's blood and everything. Red is my favorite color.
