RIP Scotso

Not sure what's happened but it's been reported on facebook and elsewhere that MTF member Scotso has passed away.

RIP Scotso

He used to be very active on here, less so in recent times, though he did still post in the Gilles Simon forum. I had various discussions with him over the years, found him to be fun, interesting and entertaining. We didn't always agree, one of our last conversations was about libertarianism vs socialism and we were on opposite sides of that fence, but I really enjoyed the occasional chats and I will miss them.

RIP Scott - you touched many lives and it's so sad to me your light has gone out much too soon.

RIP, sad news.

The reason why people attended the Del Potro v Lu match at AO 2012:

First ACC winner, I think?

I'm guessing he was the socialist.

Re: RIP Scotso

I wasn't sure who this was at first, I think I was thrown off by the changed last name. As a Roddick fan, I had an up/down kind of thing with Scott. I remember the huge argument he got in with Duck Nation when he accused Andy of throwing away the birthday cards he was given at the USO (which was later proven to be completely untrue). Something changed for him after he "won" the ACC, and he and I started to have much more civil conversations with each other after that. I remember when he told me he was losing weight and focusing on his health and other personal things, and spending less time on the forum, it was one summer when he went to the Washington tournament. We were Facebook friends at one point, but I don't think I ever knew that he had gotten married.

This is such sad news, he was far too young. Rest in Peace, Scott.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: RIP Scotso

Regardless of what you thought of him as a poster, it's a sad day when MTF loses one of its own.

He left his mark on MTF no question about that and should be adknowledged as a hall of famer.
