Isn't it normal for top riders not to participate in these?

The Grand Tours are usually all attempted. Sometimes riders will skip the Giro because of its proximity to the Tour de France.

If a man is doping why would it show so much effort on his face. Doping is for easy race right?

That is not true. In fact, there are very few riders who attempt all three GTs in the same year. Usually, no rider finishes all of them.

We are ignoring the fact that GTs are not all there is to cycling. There are other very prestigious races, including some one-week stage races and, especially, the so-called "classics": one-day races. The most important of them are the five "monuments of cycling": Milan-Sanremo, Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, Liege-Bastogne-Liege and Giro di Lombardia. Then there's also the World Championships.

That would be comparable to what Armstrong used to do, yes.

Ironically, Armstrong's biggest win is now his World Championship from 1993.

I still don't understand how anyone else is keeping their results if the drug tests are now considered invalid. It doesn't make sense to me. If they can strip his results based upon what people say and not actual physical evidence. How did he pass the drug tests if he was doping?

Much worse. There are four slams and they're scattered about the year. And the other tournaments are not as prestigious.

In cycling, if you want to be a champion, you have to win Paris-Roubaix, the Worlds and other classics or stage races.

Pharmstrong and Toolrich were real divas and what's more, they were doped. They really don't represent anything to me.

Oh and the Giro is not close to Bore de France by any means. It's raced in May and Bore in July. It used to be in June.

Or, maybe 50, or 100, cyclists were close enough that they couldn't have been so close had they not also been using PED's.

a) he didn't pass all of them

b) he had advance warning from a bent governing authority that testers were coming

c) the testing regime was relatively ineffective.

Of course, despite c, it was still about 134512362356256x more stringent than that of tennis.

Contador has won all three Grand Tours albeit not in the same year. Top riders will occasionally skip one of them, sometimes the Giro gets jibbed due to it being quite close to the TDF (end of May Giro, early July TDF) but Armstrong only ever competed in the Giro once (in 2009) and the Vuelta once (in 1998)- the seven times he took part and won the Tour he didn't compete in either of the other two, nor did he take part in some of the smaller cycling races.

The guy tried to hide as much as possible.

Not if they're all doping, and his intent is to win.

I am amazed. With the amount of Doping the Riders should have plucked flowers on to their head and start biking in the Mountains going off from the Road instead. Credit to the Bikers.
