Re: MTF 10 years old

I legitimately do not see this place lasting ten more years. Not at all.

Re: MTF 10 years old

So many posters feel it is dying out. I kind of agree because with Facebook and other types of social interaction around now I think Forums hit their peak in the past and are now starting to go downhill. And I'm just not talking about MTF. I know people on other Forums and their activity is going down as well!

Re: MTF 10 years old

Well, I recently joined with the purpose of helping out. However, even though the average quality of posts is low, as long as there is tennis, this place ain't dying. Facebook is no alternative to a forum, because a forum offers easy access to talking about or creating specific topics.

Facebook is about posting on walls, talking about pictures or things people have seen/talked about and always giving more insight about your personal life (it's true it can still be fake - but it's less comfortable).

A forum has a socialization part it's true (it's optional), but at the same time, it has a theme, and people are very comfortable with that, going straight to the topic they want to talk about, not searching desperately on Facebook's new calendar option to when this topic was addressed (scrolling down and keep on pressing the Show Older Posts option - it's so hard to use, and so much time can be wasted).

Even if MTF dies, it won't be replaced by Facebook, but rather by another forum.

Nice to have you here But even with tennis still here the posters aren't posting like they used to for whatever reason

Re: MTF 10 years old

I certainly find it hard to talk tennis the way I do here when I am talking with someone close to me. MTF is not dying and the world's population is growing. We're here to stay.
