No, they weren't better than Sydney.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Ostapchuk stripped of her gold medal in shot put after failing a drugs test. Shocker.

Huge surprise about Nadzeya Ostapchuk.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

great performance by hungary overall but hardly surprising. they used to be a powerhouse back in the days, rock solid per capita achievements too. as long as water is involved in one way or the other, the hungarians are up there with the best.

btw if it wasn't for phelps, cseh would be a five-time (!) olympic champion.

veerpalu alone ensured estonia's place in the top 20 for a very, very long time.

Gerd Kanter helped.

Veerpalu one of the best classical skiers of all time. Too bad about how his career ended though.

Re: Olympic Games 2012 London Thread (All other sports besides tennis)

Interesting stat but it has more flaws than the stat about current Olympics because countries and their population are changing over time.
They should count people who died during the period, too (to the population numbers). Ofc it's much tougher than just count the current population.
