Not a very good games for Norway, especially with Tufte and Thorkildsen not delivering. Handball girls and Larsen in the canoe. One in fencing and road race cycling. Even the Swedes and Danes did better which hasn't been the case lately.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Regarding the Dream Team discussion; all this talk is an insult to MJ, Pippen and co.; never ever will their be such a team again; Kudos to Durant, LEbron and Kobe, but they are not miles, they are light years behind.....

Re: Olympic Games 2012 London Thread (All other sports besides tennis)

It's been a great Olympics. America and China pretty much did what was expected. Great Britain had a great London Olympics to thrill the locals and and old Olympic power in Russia finsihed the Olympics very strong. I am pleasantly surprised Russia finished the London Olympics so well after a seemingly sluggish start. Today the Russian men came back from an 0 - 2 set deficit to beat Brazil for the men's volleyball gold. That took great guts to pull that comeback off. Russia doesn't win major events at the Olympics like they used to (gymnastics, sprint swimming, basketball, hockey etc.) so Russia winning men's indoor volleyball which is a signature Summer Olympic sport must mean a great deal to Russia and their sports federation.

On a side note women athletes had a sensational London Olympics.

Egalite!

Thorkildsen is a legend already, sick contest in mens jewelin, a kid from Trinidad and Tobago winning it...

I cant accept the Norge win in womens handball; they were abysmall untill 40th minutes against Brazil, and sick help from the refs against Montenegro and add to this choking from Bojana Popovic; ending should have been different; but they have the winning scandinavian mentality, it prevailed in the end...

It's a bigger insult to Robinson, Ewing, Barkley, and Malone. At least Lebron, Kobe, and Durant are on the same planet as MJ, Pippen, Bird, and Magic. But Love, Chandler, and Davis....

You guys weren't tested in the round robin then when it came to the big test, they failed on the day. It's interesting to explain the French butcher thing to non handball people, but they seem to get the Chelsea and Stoke City references. Under the Jack they had flair, artistry and fun to watch, whereas if France had their way they'd win with 5 goals.

Hungary playing out of their skin to beat Iceland, who were unlikely to lose Sweden, but that's a what if. Lead by 1 and you miss a penalty in the last minute that hurts.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

the fact which bothers me the most is that mafioso Gobac will have facts to keep Goluza. Would like to see someone giving a chance to Smajlagic

Unlike Croatia they came through when tested in the knockout phases. Denmark or Iceland didn't have it in the men's. Sick help don't be so biased.

Pipe Smajlagic was the brain behing Lino Cervar's succes, everybody and my grandmother knows that; but we will ahve to wait until Gobac and co go to prison, no way Smajlagic gets a chance before that...

Very true. But don't forget Rose and Wade were injured, imagine what the team could have been with those two in there.

Paradorn Srichaphan
Kei Nishikori, Donald Young, Somdev Devvarman, Dustin Brown, Steve Johnson, Yannick Maden
Robert Farah, Clement Reix, Alexander Dolgopolov, Nathan Thompson
