Complete ignorant bs. He could compete in more events if had the will to train and train.

There is a much bigger difference between 100m and 200m in swimming than in sprinting. Bolt won't even try to train and compete at 400.

Phelps dominated in the most grueling stroke (fly) and the most grueling events (400 and 200 IM medley's). And still won freestyle and relays as well. Bolt's accomplishments are not near as impressive or unprecedented.

If he won the 100, 200, 400, the Decathlon, one of the jumps and the relays, then he would EQUAL Phelps. Bolt hasn't even equaled Lewis or Jesse Owens at one Olympics.

La Marseillaise belting out around from the Basketball Arena, good stuff.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

To be technically fair, there are more athletics gold medals awarded than swimming gold medals.

It takes more specialization in track than swimming which is the real difference.

Though in Phelps' defense, he was good enough to win even more events if logistics allowed it.

that 100m gold is always considered the most important gold of the olympics I think thats the most anticipated event of the games .1 win there for Bolt is enough to become as popular as Phelps

Gold for the end

Would change it for handball's gold. Not because i like handball more, just because Butchrance wouldn't win gold. If this was last game for Omeyer and Dinart in France's team this was their last medal too. Good for the sport

It was a very scrappy final from both sides. France don't play exciting handball, they used to but prefer the more physical nonsense though against Croatia they weren't too bad.

Today it was ok from them, it's funny they have had much better players than this unit, but they won the gold that's what counts.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Your guys got gold, well Croatia didn't perform on the day in the handball. Iceland and Denmark must be kicking themselves. France don't need to be so negative that's the Chelsea reference.

We all know there is only One Dream Team and it was in 92, nothing before or after.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

To their credit, Spain did what they had to do to slow the game down and play it to their tempo, and played to their strengths.

As crucially, the refs helped them by calling fouls incessantly, slowing the game down as well.

yep, and Lebron was talking before Olympics how they are better than '92 team . Two Gasols and Ibaka were making troubles to USA, dying to see Chandler, Love and Melo defending Robinson, Ewing, Barkley and Malone. Croatian team which were better than this Spain got trashed +30
