Precisely. In some events, athletes from one country would make up the entire field if that were the case.

Equalled Jamaica's record from Daegu. Lets see Bailey can't run a bend whereas Tyson Gay can, so you swap Bailey for Gatlin. The facts are the 2nd leg is the longest one and Gatlin is better than Bailey.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Boudia is still in good shape over Daley. His last dive's difficulty is higher, so theoretically he should be fine if he doesn't screw it up.

It's dumb because it's a better indicator not every country has the wealth, population and resources of the USA, yes all of those factors combined.

Yes, total medals benefits those three things. Per capita medal table is even worse. It allows a country with one medalist to be in the top 10 if their population is small enough, which is even sillier.

But it was still possible for decent boxers to win until the last several Olympics.

Same with professional boxing. The dominant pansy European style has destroyed it.

Anything Vercetti says the opposite is closer to the truth.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Not liking that Grenada, NZ and Slovenia are ahead on that table.
