It has been since 1972 since the Americans lost the 4x400m stop being greedy.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Actually, they're not that good. Taylor just underestimated them and probably thought he had it in the bag.

Also, this was the worst crop of 400 runners we've had possibly ever. No finalists, Merritt hurt, and then having the dude break his leg in the prelim. Still shocking to see that out of Taylor though.

Sore winner and a sore loser. So you denigrate little Bahamas who run a NR, something you might need to learn.

Got to perform on the day, reputations count for crap.

Taylor didn't underestimate anyone, he just had nothing in the tank for some reason. You could tell after his first 200 that he was gassed.

Lavillenie great stuff from him under pressure brings it when it counts, well deserved gold medal.

Carl Lewis should start accusing of the Bahamas being on drugs now.

The Bahamas won fare and square, but they didn't win b/c they were "too fucking good". That's like saying Japan was incredibly superior to Spain in soccer.

Taylor blew it, we had two stronger runners not in the race.

Boxing has always been corrupt the amateurs are even worse than the professionals for shit decisions.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Germany is slowly creeping up on Team GB on the medal count. But the British boxing team should earn a few medals tomorrow to seal a 4th place finish.
