I still cant get over tonight. Obviously it could only happen in London, but whatever, best sporting non superpower in the world.

Tonight, I can be proud of my country, for all its faults.

A united Europe would surely not include the Brits? Speaking of, the Eurozone isn't doing too well, are they?

Spaniards have won a bit too many big sporting events the past few years, up to the point where they started calling themselves the greatest sporting nation on earth.
I love Spain as a country and have nothing against any individual Spaniard, but seeing them fail at the Olympics is funny.

There's a general animosity between several European countries, but it's nothing serious. It's much better to mock each other a bit than to declare war every other generation as Europe has done for centuries.

Depends.. Economically.. meh. Politically, we're very divided. On a sporting level.. France, Italy and Holland are probably happy. Germany, not so much. Most other countries... help.

Not really. Just a bit of friendly animosity. It's really not hard to grasp.

Maybe the way you guys feel about Canada in hockey? You want to beat them, you hate losing to them, you want other countries to beat them, but deep down you know that hockey wouldn't be half as much fun if the Canucks weren't around.

Speak for yourself. I freaking hate those guys.

BTW, Gibb and Rosenthal through. Nice effort out there to make up for Rogers/Dalhausser losing yesterday.

You guys are a strange lot. Probably you take sports, or life in general, a bit too serious.
