Did you see the US medal list ? More than 80% come from swimming.

I can't name a German champion either. It had something to do with horses, I believe.

17 (yes, yes, yes!) Slams! And counting....

there are no german champions so far. those that won gold
medals took part in competitions that do not count. so you're
good.

Didn't know Mugrin and co were against Spain

That means only one thing.

There are way, way too many swimming events at the Olympics. If you're capable of swimming a decent 100 and 200m freestyle, you can compete in 5 events (2 single and 3 medleys) and that's just wrong.

Birgit Fischer needed to compete in 6 Olympics to be able to even compete (let alone medal) in 12 events.

Samo was being naughty he dissed this man Ljubo Vranjes.

But kom igjen Island.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

What Zatopek did in the Olympics more impressive than Phelps ever did it. Wins the 5km, 10km and marathon in the same Olympics.

Never know, a few of these female athletes may have won gold having been knocked up a few nights before.
