I'm a member of The Conservative party in the UK but when I hear the term "social conservative" it makes me think of people in the US who hold views that are far different from my own. It makes me think they are, among other things, probably anti-abortion and anti-gay.
Someone who understands that political correctness and liberalism masquerading under the guise of democracy is cancer of our society, slowly rotting and decaying it - as the case has been for decades. They are people usually accused of bigotry and intolerance, while in reality they are people who are fighting to stop perversions our society now accepts as norms.
....fighting, that is, by misrepresenting their opposition and promoting sensationalism to enhance their cause. Clinging to traditional ideas means you're not adapting to a changing world...and it is changing, massively. When I hear some of these people talk i'm thinking they've got their head in the clouds - they're ignorant of the fact that it's always easy to cosily reminisce about times gone by.
Who are the state to dictate what is moral anyway? Isn't the USA meant to be for giving freedom to it's people, rather than restricting it?
