A bengali song for a change from a movie named Hemlock society. The video is a bit crappy, but liked the song
Tried a bit of translation of the first couple of lines (it's fun to translate !)
"many times have I shattered your image in the mirror
only to look back again,
In my mind there is no else like you.
many times have I basked in the shallow light of your presence
to sing a song for you,
In my mind there is no else like you."
If you can meet with triumph and disaster / And treat those two imposters just the same - R. Kipling
The first four lines are separate from the rest of the poem. Their translation is following.
Last night your lost memory came to me
Just like the spring would come unexpectedly to a godforsaken place
Just like the morning breeze would blow slowly in a dessert
Just like a sick person would find peace without any reason
Well! I'm surprised and delighted to find this thread here Would be posting more.
Even if you’ll look for us from country to country, you won’t find us because we are rare
The interpretation of which is desperation and grief, o fellows! we are like that dream
Many travelers begin their journey, but only few reach their destination
O world! Recognize our worth, even if we are not extinct we are still rare
O Pain pray do tell us: no one has ever been able to solve this mystery
Do we have a restless heart, or are we the restless heart personified?
O Shaad! The flowers have sent this message to the imprisoned birds
This is the right time to come out as we are still in a bloom
In the second last line, Shaad is the name of the poet. Shaad Azeemabadi wrote the poem, and the singer is Abida Perveen.
We rarely see films like these in Bollywood now. Most of the films right now just concentrate on the entertainment element and are ignoring other things.
I was glad that "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" was also a commercial hit.
Yes. Filmmakers know they have to put Shahrukh,Salman and put some songs and get a Eye Candy in , like a Padukone or a Katrina Kaif, people will flock on to the theatres. Most of them just want entertainment and they just provide that.
