Re: Madonna

Ok John really, MJ is not the greatest Pop icon in the world????????? This man was the reason so many people believed in who they are and what they can accomplished. What Michael did was just amazing absolutely inspiring i dont think any other pop singer would've never done what he did. This man was a beast in the past, his songs were amazing hits, and whats so crazy is as much as i love love LOVE madonna, madonna cant never and no one can ever top and break records like Michael did, NO ONE!

Re: Madonna

I do disagree wholeheartedly with pretty much everything you said in that post, you sound like Bilbo Jr...

Please, let's not make this a MJ vs Madonna thread please. No need to bring it into this thread. Start another thread with Bimbo if you must feed your need to worship MJ.

On a side-step Jackson note:

I love Janet like no other but
getting a guys head between your legs/up your skirt-
2x on national television, without getting in trouble > Having JT whip out your tit & freaking the whole nation.
Not to mention cooler.

It's all in how you do it kids

According to Wikipedia, the freak had 12 number one US singles. Elvis had 18. You are probably limited by being convinced the Big Bang happened the day Thriller was released.

BTW: ROLLING STONE mag puts him at #35.

Re: Madonna

I find Madonna creepy and not attractive in the slightest. Don't care much about her music either.

In case you missed some of those:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ved_by_Madonna

She reached global superstar status with album #2 (84), achieved widespread critical recognition with album #3 (86), and released her 3 best albums between 1999 and 2005. 2008, she launched the highest grossing tour by a solo artist.

She is famous but her music is crap. Awards mean nothing. Take a look to the achievements of her spiritual crap daughter . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...Britney_Spears
Also impressive, no? Crap music anyway.

Re: Madonna

I was merely debunking your not a legend claim...

What is good music to you, if I may ask?

Re: Madonna

Madonna!
Amazing artist, damn hard worker, great performer, and ... not a bad songwriter either. Didn't she write "Live To Tell" at least partly by herself?

One of my Guilty Pleasures of the past few decades.

And... how can any liberal, feminist person ever resist THIS:

"Poor is the man whose pleasures depend on the permission of another"

Just brilliant.

This coming from MTF's #1 progrock fan.

"It's getting colder, I'm getting colder, older, it's getting colder...

Am I still here? As one, with The Fear?
Am I still alive? I'm still f*cking ... Here...!"

Re: Madonna

Her perfect pastiche of 1980'-1990's disco culture,

always manages to get me a smile on my face too.
