But golf has everything, its probably the most demanding sports of all, not physically, but the other aspects cover this, by far. Anyone who has played golf at high level knows what i am talking about. Toughest sport to be good at
Disagree, although it is very difficult, you are standing still on every shot, which I feel lowers the difficulty slightly. A sport like tennis even has the same degree of difficulty as golf on each shot, a similar mental snapshot, but it includes movement.

Of course not. Have you ever tried playing golf at a semi competitive level? have you ever even tried playing golf? Despite having a still shot, the golf shots needs so much more precission its not even comparable.
I compete high level of golf, and used to compete in tennis, and i can tell you golf is way more tough.

We should ask Scott Draper.

I really doubt Golf is tougher than tennis. In Golf you are complete control of every shot. Your opponent can't physically do anything to you.

or yevgeny kafelnikov.

i love when people who never played golf think its easy. Its the most mentally demanding sport, by far. In no sport you have so much time to be alone by yourself, this time, against what eveyrone thinks is against the golfer. Would be much easier to play one shot after the other with no delay at all

Darts must be mentally toughest sport.

At least in other individual sports crowds are respectful. In Darts you have a thousand drunk maniacs screaming abuse while you try to hit a miniscule target

This conclusion is somehow unsurprising.

Re: Is golf a sport?

ive written an essay about rps once. its pure strategy. people who havent played it are the ones who think its pure luck.
http://www.worldrps.com/

people who have played against me live, can confirm its no luck. I think i am unbeaten against mtf users. Maybe 23-0 in best of 7 matches or so

I do enjoy how your only argument is to assume none of us have ever played golf.

Re: Is golf a sport?

whats your handicap? i guess 20ish? Its a complete different sport if you play to break 90´s that if you play to break par.

Re: Is golf a sport?

Lets get one thing straight, snooker is more of a sport than darts.

Golf isn't a sport in the physical sense, that being said, having two legs is definitely an advantage.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.
