But guys like Rodre Fegassi who've posts in few hundreds seem to be getting all the attention.
No, it is also about the arse clown post quality.
Hmm. Can't speak for everyone else, but I nominate him mostly for the "misogynistic douchebag" routine and the general lack of self-awareness.
"Sensible guy" is off the mark.
If you want to do better in the ACC, Dodger, you need to draw attention to yourself in some way or other, and the votes will come. Try defending a controversial or minority position in NT. Everyone who disagrees with you will call you an ass clown and toss you a vote (according to just how unpopular the position that you are defending is).
Achieving ass clown status in GM is a bit more difficult, and requires more persistence to stand out from the herd. A couple ideas:
1. Bitch unrelentingly (a la Abraxas)
2. Take fanboyism to a truly irrational extreme, such that you significantly overvalue your player and undervalue his opponents, all the while making yourself as vocal as possible about it (a la many posters such as Sapeod, Feldman, MonfilsFanatic, Muzzahlovah, Grassquet, and so many Nadaltards, most of whom have "Nadal" in their username).
Of course, there is a shortcut to ACC success, and that is strong campaigning in the ACC threads themselves. If you can make a big enough stink in those threads, you're sure to climb the rankings.
OP, you can study Seingeist for an example of a 3rd round ACC guy.
no it isn't.
judging by the people who have won the contest before, they were pretty much all clowns of the highest order.
i think only glennmirnyi is the only former winner who wasn't really a clown
Very prestigious. The posters who get most excited about this waste of computer space are generally the dumbest and so they vote for posters of high intelligence and then convince themselves that the results mean they, themselves, are not so dumb after all.
I think the original idea was to vote for funny posters, but it quickly became just a vote for people you disagree with. So it is a waste of time, because that is what the dumb posters do the other 364 days of the year anyway.
Then you have the really dumb posters, like abraxas, who wants to be just like a previous winner and so has no problem announcing that the win by glennmirnyi was just a voting anomaly, a mass error committed by the majority. And he might actually believe that, such is his fragile hold on reality.
OP, study buddyholly for an example of a 4th round ACC guy.

Tangy the historian is correct.
it's not prestigeous... its where we all heap sh!t on emotionally challenged f**kheads who didn't figure out till they were 17 that it's not right to get intimate with the neighbours pet dog... that's what sort of imbecile we're dealing with here... the best of the best... major contenders do have one redeeming feature tho... they contended... they didn't flake out... they weren't yellow... when it came to the crunch and they were nominated, they took it square on the nose and said 'yeah i'm a f*ckwit what you gonna do about it.'...
unlike some nutless sacks of sh!t...
