Verdict in: Conrad Murray GUILTY of involuntary manslaughter in the death of MJ.

Faces up to 4 years of probation, potentially 4 years in state prison. He is also likely to permanently lose his medical license.

Discuss.

Not surprising at all. Since day 1 of MJs death it all looked very suspicious. He got what he deserved but 4 years is not enough for a murderer.

Haven't really looked at this case but have to say that jury's consistently side with celebrities in big cases, or so it seems at least...

I'm glad he was at least found guilty, but I think he got off much too easily

It was assisted suicide at most.

Nowadays even dead people are able to blame somebody else. Nobody is responsible for anything.

MJ was a drug train wreck for years and his family sat and watched. They could have stopped it.

Good.

Guy was money hungry and his actions the day of MJ's dead were unprofessional for a medical doctor. CPR on a bed

4 year is too light a sentence, he costed one person's life, should be at least 10 years

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

Re: Verdict in: Conrad Murray GUILTY of involuntary manslaughter in the death of MJ.

I don't think it's fair to call him a murderer. From what i've heard of the case it seems like MJ was a drug addict who exploited a doctor having financial difficulties and basically just made him do whatever he asked. I think Conrad Murray is right to be stripped of his medical license but I dunno, that long in prison seems a bit harsh. I wonder whether it was ever possible that the court would find that MJ was just a drug-crazed lunatic who caused his own death, always seemed unlikely.

In relation to Conrad Murray again though, it reminded me of a quote by one of my heroes - Jack Bauer
Quote:
"You can look the other way once, and it's no big deal, except it makes it easier for you to compromise the next time, and pretty soon that's all you're doing; compromising, because that's the way you think things are done. You know those guys I busted? You think they were the bad guys? Because they weren't, they weren't bad guys, they were just like you and me. Except they compromised. Once."
Conrad Murray compromised once....and before you know it he was routinely prescribing drugs that shouldn't have been given outside of a hospital.

Actually it has already been said due to over crowded prisons he will probably not be behind bars for even the 4 years
