How very sad. What can I say. Israel (and other countries) offered serious help - men, supplies, advanced machinery (which they used back in the 1999 EQ) about one hour after the EQ. He said no for reasons I'd never understand (to prove Turkey can do that on her own? They can't, many countries need aid in this kind of situation, we needed Turkey's aid during the big fires last year).

They're asking it now after two days. What's the point? To pull bodies from the rubble?
