Dan Wheldon dies in horrific Indy car crash

Just saw this, truly horrific.

Huge crash early in the race, they called the race off and the rest of the racers did a 5 lap tribute. Really sad and gut wrenching to watch.

33 years old, guy was far too young to go. At least he is in a better place now.

RIP Dan

So I was recently informed that my signature was empty and needed a life affirming quote from an inspirational figure like Shakespeare or Oscar Wilde...

When I die my mates had better not tweet some cheesy crap like I'm watching over them or some jazz. Watch your train-wreck lives? I'll take my chances in hell.

Never heard of him, and it's a sport I know or care nothing about.

But, he had a wife and children who are now without a husband and father respectively. RIP.

Re: Dan Wheldon dies in horrific Indy car crash

Sad, but when one joins in on a 'sport' (sorry, no, that is NOT a sport) like that, this is the risk one takes.

I feel sorry for his family though. RIP.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

Very sad.

Dario Franchitti won the championship but lost one of his best mates. Life is harsh at times.
