The rant about work thread

I'll start.

I hate my job and the MOFO's that inhabit that scum hole. Its a shame The Rapture didnt come and kill us all so i didn't have to see your disgusting fucked-up faces again.
* My managers a bitch who makes Myra Hindley look charming.
* Admin is a failed hooker.
* Place of work is full of pricks who think they are God.

Your turn.

Re: The rant about work thread

Good thread considering my mood at work recently.

*Sick of working overtime and through lunch breaks for no pay and no time off.
*Sick of seeing people in other departments on better money with better management despite some not being that good at their jobs.
*Sick of having 52245342 tasks lumped on me to deal with on top of my daily job.
*Sick of not being able to voice my opinions on any of this and having to be a smiley happy person there 24/7 despite feeling anything but.

I could go on for several paragraphs more.

Reading posts like the above two are why I am glad I have quit college for now to pursue my true ambition.

To the opening two posters, what would be your ideal dream jobs?

This pisses me off more than anything. Everywhere I work, there are so many poor workers higher up and earning so much. By poor I mean lazy, unintelligent, or a combination of both.

I worked with a government statistician once (who was on a good 100k a year) who had no idea about the basic principles of regression modelling even though he was doing it all the time. And he got away with it because, until I came, he would present his work to his managers who had no idea about statistics so they would just accept it.

I just don't go to work. No need for me, but then I have an excuse not to go...

Proctologist?

I don't hate my job but the people... oh dear, there are so many übersensitive ignorant peasants who think they're Napoleons and Cleopatras. I can barely disguise my infinite contempt for them.

I wanted to do behind the scenes work in films initially, but I'm far too lazy to put in the 80 hour plus 7 day weeks that would have taken.

I'm studying to be an accountant which I'm actually pretty interested in, and I'm only one step away from moving up and doing a job at my company that I would actually enjoy. The problems with the current job are that I'm over qualified for it in terms of experience but not qualifications, so it's boring me to tears at the minute. Most importantly, I just have a really bad manager. The type of person who just expects you to work unpaid overtime etc even though the rest of the finance departments don't have to do so, and doesn't give you much thanks for it.

I'm hoping a job comes up in the next couple of months when there's a few people moving on to other jobs round the place, but I don't want to get my hopes up in case it doesn't happen. When I look at the guy over in the other department who I work with a lot, with just a few more exams passed than me, in a good job with a good manager and better pay, I just can't help but feel envious that it's not me there. Not a great attitude to have I guess, but there you go.

I know I've just written an epically whiny essay there, but this is the rant about work thread.

Expect me to start whining once my internship starts . Now I'm enjoying the student life and Summer vacation .

Only Del Potro can take him out before the semis, and he won't. Nadal is winning the AO, bet your house on it.

I don't hate my job per se, it is challenging, fun and you never really do the same thing two days in a row, but I really dislike dealing with the accounting part (buying things, receipts, receiving the salespeople, etc) and sometimes I get mad at the stupid people who cannot follow an order, once a moron forgot to check pressure and a pipe exploded, thankfully it was just steam but I still got a couple of stitches and it could have been more dangerous

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

if you dont like your job and are brave enough to rant about it, just quit. You should be smart enough to get a new and better job.

Well, we know there's at least one.

I don't work, but if I did I think I could have a good career as a thread puller.
