Re: Question - what should the world do about the situation in Libya?

You know how much cruise missiles cost? Let the other nations who refused to force Saddam to abide by the treaties deal with it.

Take him out. It's the only way the people can freely decide their fate.

Oil.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

There will be no ground offense so no young men sent to die in the desert. Operation Odyssey Dawn's surgical strikes will be enough to cripple him. The rebels will do the rest....and then...we shall have peace

Killer dictators everywhere take note. Your time is up

WWI was going to be a quick affair.

Chamberlain's triumphant document waving was going to wrap up the uncomfortable conflict with the man with the funny moustache.

The Iraq War was not going to be a war at all...

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

None of that matters. This man cannot be allowed to go on a murderous rampage and thankfully we aren't waiting for a pile of bodies to mount before doing something about it Obama's dithering notwithstanding. The only problem I have with this approach is that inevitably civilian lives will be lost. Can't seem to reconcile this with my utter conviction that this tool must be taken out pronto

It is.

The great thing about democracy is that it gives every voter a chance to do something stupid.
