Re: The Gaming Thread.

Anyone getting a PS Vita?

Price seems a little too much and then there's a 16GB memory card for £38 here with the big titles at around £35...

If at launch I can get the Vita for £200 I'll get it but besides that I think I'll just wait. Seems far too expensive.

Yeah I'm getting one. Got a $800 voucher at EB so might as well blow it on something.

if you like a challenge and exploration, I highly recommend dark souls.

It's been a great journey, a month already and still not done.

Re: The Gaming Thread.

Hmm....Amazon got a great deal on PSP Vita atm. £220 for the Wi-fi version with an 8GB memory card. £235 with one game from a selection. Seems tempting....

Re: The Gaming Thread.

I am. Amazon UK and France both have deals that interest me which is good though and I think I'll order within the next few days.

Only problems are after playing one as good as the games and console feel, it just doesn't have that 'edge'.

Did you go for that deal? VT4 surprisingly seems good on the Vita as it really should have been a portable game all along I suppose, you went/are going for that?

I think at the moment, for me, the Amazon.de appeals the most. £235 for pre-order pack, FIFA, 8 GB memory card. Seems like a very good deal imo.

I don't know about the Amazon UK one. I don't really like VT, I like my sports games to be akin to real life as opposed to arcadey types of games .

Still thinking whether or not it will be worth it in the long run. I bought a PSP the day it came out and hardly ever used it .

Re: The Gaming Thread.

imo, I won't be getting it because this is going to be a hot year for pc gaming (diablo 3, wow expansion, guild wars 2) and potentially successful halo 4. Next year will have the debut of the next generation consoles. Usually when they arrive, developers take a bit of their time to familiarize with the new technology and then go back to making great handhelds.

But this is also coming from someone who has never really warmed up to handhelds.

Yeah that's a good deal, looks like they added some good games in that deal today/yesterday. Fifa's not my thing though so I'll stick away from it. Think I may go with Amazon France's deal for the PS Vita, pre-order pack and 8GB memory card for £205 and then picking up Uncharted or just renting it. Thing is if by any chance there's a problem with the Vita we'll have to deal with Amazon France/Germany for the first month which could be a pain.

Yeah I'm with you on that, would much prefer a Top Spin on the Vita.

Well I guess only you know the answer to that. Personally I also got my PSP at launch and have used it ever since until only a few months ago because it kept turning off due to a loose battery, but then saying that it was only really because I had custom firmware on it, games got too expensive for it and I think that will be the same case here sadly.

Well I suppose if you don't need to game outside of your house then you might as well stick with the PC and other consoles, I mean they have far better games at the moment anyway.

Can't see the Vita getting outdated for a few years though, so that's a reason to get it I think.

Re: The Gaming Thread.

So glad VT 4 included Monfils because I refuse to play a tennis game without him in it.

Re: The Gaming Thread.

Then you're missing out on the best sports game ever created, Lyndon. Top Spin 4.

What console are you playing on?
