VT3 online against others while on a long car/train ride = . That + a good RPG + a good fighting game, is probably all I'll ever need for quite some time.

Re: The Gaming Thread.

Good RPG? Hopefully a Final Fantasy similar to Dissidia and Crisis Core will be released.
Good fighting game? Not my thing, but Street Fighter vs Tekken looks alright I suppose.

Re: The Gaming Thread.

Gearbox finally announced the fourth game in the Brothers in Arms series and it looks absolutely shit, because it has nothing to do with the previous three. I'm sure there could possibly be a bigger target market for this type of game, but it's just looks like a video game version of Inglourious Basterds.

To me BIA3: Hell's Highway (even if slated by many) was one of the best, if not the best, WWII game I've ever played and I was really looking forward to the next one and now this rubbish. Apparently Gearbox were "challenged" by Ubisoft to bring something new to the table.

Here's the Brothers in Arms Furious 4 trailer:

I rarely play video games these days, but I'm looking forward to dedicating my life to this one come November.

Re: The Gaming Thread.

Nintendo needs to be reminded they were on the verge of extinction after the gamecube flopped to the xbox and ps2. They had so much potential to dominate with the wii and they quickly lost their grasp of the market after a year or two. Now, the technology that made them so unique is duplicated by all their competitors. This WiiU looks terrible, the controller looks like it'll cost almost $200.

I'd be a wealthier man if Nintendo just stuck to releasing their titles and porting them over to the other consoles. But no, one's gotta shell out 200 bucks to play their 5 awesome titles every 5 years.

Re: The Gaming Thread.

Got my PSP out and am playing Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, can't believe I left my PSP so long without playing games on it, graphics may suck but some of the games on it are simply amazing for handheld games, fuck the 3DS and mobile games.

Haha, that's unfortunate. It really does look like Inglorious Basterds meets Team Fortress 2

Verge of extinction? LOL

Since Nintendo got in the gaming business, back in the early 80s, it always ended the year with a profit. Always. On the verge of extinction? Yeah right. Unlike other companies, Nintendo doesn't sell its consoles losing money with every unit just to make it more competitive.

Re: The Gaming Thread.

Reports are that the Wii U is 50% more powerful than the PS3, seems like shit to me though.

It's not easy finding links from 6-7 years ago, but Nintendo did contemplate about not making any more consoles if the Wii would've failed. Their sales were far inferior to the xbox and ps2 market. Anyways, it's not going to happen because Wii did well the first couple of years, and they've got suckers like me buying a console for 4-5 games.

WiiU better have improved technology over the ps3, it was developed 6 years ago. But, it's fun throwing stats around and Nintendo has always been the weakest graphically.
