The leader of Greece's far-left is to try to form a government after parties backing an international bailout deal failed to assemble a coalition.

Re: Financial clusterfuck in Europe

Needless to say voters are now turning to the extremist parties. Funny thing is both the extreme left and extreme right are anti-austerity yet neither would even consider forming an alliance.

I wonder if this Greek mess will ever end.

Re: Financial clusterfuck in Europe

Got to laugh at this Greek situation. The people are tired of the politicians so they vote for other politicians. They snub European demands for austerity but they want the euro. They reject the bailout but want money to keep public sector jobs.

Pure hypocrisy from top to bottom. Another perfect example of irrational complaining, protesting, whining, bitching etc destroying a nation.

Greece should have been preparing for this a long time ago. Germany is the only eurozone nation fully prepared for an exit. I believe the Bundesbank has kept old DMs in a vault ready to recirculate. Greeks don't even have a functional central bank that can print its own notes. They totally deserve to be in this mess. I hope the whole government shuts down.

interesting. but i still detest the whole idea behind eurobonds. we're just gonna go down with the southerners.

Re: Financial clusterfuck in Europe

In fairness to the Greeks they've been working very hard. I mean bitching, complaining, whining, moaning, protesting, rioting - I'm sure these activities are all considered "hard work" down there.

As for Eurobonds it's another step towards fiscal union and a federal Europe. Can't see it happening.

Opinion: Could Germany save eurozone by leaving it?

How are Greeks funny? They're objective people (fathers of Reason) and they're just speaking the truth: http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datab...ing-hours#data

Germany has to leave the Euro AND the Eurozone SHOULD explode. But the Yanks don't want it (and want to keep Greece in it). The first Euro leader who leaves it will be a brave man/woman.

As far as I see it, it's not so much that the Germans are less corrupt (which they are), but that society does not tolerate corruption and fraud to the extent that other societies do.

I mean, in the past years two major politicians here saw their careers effectively ruined for things that wouldn't even merit a newspaper article in my country of birth...

That settles it then.

You should review your idea of "working hard"...

Of those 42 hours, I reckon the Greeks spend 15 of them chatting around, 10 smoking, 10 checking facebook and 5 complaining about how they're the best and it's the other countries' fault if they're in deep shit and have a laughable productivity rate.

Re: Financial clusterfuck in Europe

I can't wait for Euro to go down the drain and German banks and false sense of superiority along with it.

Let the über alles nation fuck up Europe once again... how many times already?

Bring Weimar back!
