Can't believe Mickelsons run yesterday so close to 3 eagles in a row.

Surprising amount of balls from Westwood, he played well. I'll still be stunned if he wins it, Tiger and Mickelson will put him under a lot of pressure I'd imagine.

Yeah, I just turned it on. They just said -11 under on just holes 13, 14, 15. I hadn't realized that. Wow.

Edit: -12 final.

Bah anti-climax, was great for most of the day.

Nice moment I guess for Phil and his wife considering what she's been through. He hit some great shots today, rode his luck big time though.

Re: Golf 2010 - Waiting for Augusta

Westwood lost it on the front 9 with his driving, never gave himself chances to get at the pins and score

crap day #478 at the majors from the last 10 years for me

Re: Golf 2010 - Waiting for Augusta

Congratulations to Phil Mickelson on winning the 2010 Master's title and his fourth career major championship. This was long overdue. And thanks to Phil for letting us into his world again watching on television. Mickelson and his family have been through alot in the past year and I'm pleased they can enjoy Phil's great win together as a family.

Lee Westwood can hold his head high because he had a very good Master's and is now a legitimate top 5 player in the world. And he's a class act.

Egalite!

Re: Golf 2010 - Waiting for Augusta

I would say so, yes. He needs to win a British Open to be considered a true great IMO though.

Encouraging week for Tiger, the fact he can play so badly and hit so many shit shots and still be right in contention is a good sign. Although it worries me that he's continually getting close but not quite winning in the last few years - needs to cut out the silly bogeys, he's become really prone to them early in final rounds and then by the time he makes a charge (like he did again yesterday) it's too late.

Westwood was pretty classy in defeat he might not get a better chance though.
