ITS DARTH MAUL from Star Wars. Do you think I just chose some random tatoo person?

Darth Maul is from the foruth movie 'The Phantom Menace' which is by no means a classic.

I've watched all the films plenty of times and I do enjoy them. My favourite is 'Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back' from 1980.

Darth Maul is one of my favorite Star Wars characters. It's a shame his character life was so short. He was such a badass that I had a crush on him . His dual-bladed lightsaber and his martial arts skills were exquisite.

Too bad Ray Park's voice wasn't dastardly enough and required a voice actor...

The first three films were great. I prefer to pretend that the latter three don't really exist.

The Phantom Menace is no gem, but at the very least we did learn why Luke is so whiny: Like father like son I suppose.

I personally have never seen these movies but my 5 year old and all his junior kindergarten friends love them. They have made a cartoon of it now for younger kids - and they have the costumes. Everything old is new again! ;)
Speaking of costumes, I recall dressing up as Admiral Akbar as a kid for Halloween. I vividly remember trying not to rip the vinyl jumpsuit while sitting and sweating behind the plastic mask begging for air through the nostril holes.

Everko don't worry about it.

Most of MTF is full of pansy Fedtards who watch romance films and crap like Harry Potter.

They are a bit too dumb to understand the nuances of Star Wars and voilence scares their girlish souls.

Star Wars is elite, alway remember that and dont let the weak & dumb influence you or peer pressure you.

Star Wars episodes 4-6 are very good films. Episodes 1-3 aren't.
Though I agree Maul is pretty cool.

The Prequels get a bad rep. They aren't that bad, I find some of the aspects very interesting. I find the time period they are set in more interesting than the Classics.

I is horrible, II is ok, III is good.

Geez... why not Jar Jar Binks?

Empire was good, but anything from the prequels falls into the pure crap category.

The Prequels would be considered classics if Maul had been the villain throughout. Cut Dooku

episode 3 is only one I consider worthy "sequel" to 4 5 and 6. ep's 1 and 2 are pretty poor.

like Jar Jar Binks- he sucks and thats is. Lucas invented him just before making ep. 1 in order to make a goofy character for kids (a la r2d2 but in another form). there was even an article who exactly pinpointed connections between JJ Binks and those "goons" cartoons and comics. similarities are uncanny.

or the bloke who plays Anakin - wretched choice. NO acting skills, I was so disappointed.

thankfully, Ian McDiarmid and Ewan McGregor in their respective roles drew the thing in the end.

Hayden Christensen is fucking awful indeed. McDiarmid and McGregor are the highlights. Neeson is decent. Samuel L. Jackson is of course not a bad actor, but he just feels out of place in his role.

The worst part, however, is the dialogue. It literally makes me sick. It is HORRIBLY written. The original characters from EP IV, V and VI can't do anything with such terrible lines to save the sacrilege on the original atmosphere.

Let's not even start on how awful some lightsaber fights are. The ones in Ep I are good, and at least there's some comedy value to see Yoda showing the moves in Ep II and III. Other than that, OVERKILL, which is also the case in so many action scenes. Then we have the never ending cartoon humour with JJB etc...

Rant over, and I haven't even watched any of the prequels for something like four years.

That particular scene with Palpatine and Mace Windu and the Jedi was a big letdown in the movie. It was the best written scene of the book but the movie made it bad.

But Anakin vs Obi-Wan and the Jedi Purge in ROTS are my 2 favorite moments of the entire 6 movies.

MAce VIndu indeed in not very inspiring role for Jackson and it shows in that scene. but Palpatine was played very well, especially that bit when he begs for mercy and than suddenly wrinkles down and transforms into that mad man Emperor yelling "power, more power!!!", it finally is revealed how smart he's been in pretending to be beaten, just in order to make himself room for the kill. that was a good bit yeah.

dont worry about it. you did say that you returned a changed man. some evidently dont know what that means.

from my standpoint you changed for the better but i am not really aware of what you did before your ban.

all i know is that you appear to be a decent person and that is good enough for me.

let the fools attack all they want and need to. they will be the ones who hurt their credibility in the process. you just stay calm and centered and balanced. it will drive them even more nuts.

you will always be welcome at the castle. so see you there.

OK, so I watched Some of the Star wars movies again and I know now what I hated about them. The simplistic and stupid presentation of the "dark side" thing. "don't give in to your anger" and other BS. As if people in real life have a choice. Also what about the killer instinct that some people are born with. What does that have to do with "anger" and stupid choices? Also, tell the spider, the tiger and the vulture to choose the light side.
We are all robotic drones then?

the Original Trilogy rules, the prequels are downright pathetic and only Zac Efron would have done it worse than Hayden Christensen as Anakin

The most epic movie ever. Love all the episodes but attack of clones.

“A refurbished Star Wars is on somewhere or everywhere. I have no intention of revisiting any galaxy. I shrivel inside each time it is mentioned. Twenty years ago, when the film was first shown, it had a freshness, also a sense of moral good and fun. Then I began to be uneasy at the influence it might be having. The first bad penny dropped in San Francisco when a sweet-faced boy of twelve told me proudly that he had seen Star Wars over a hundred times. His elegant mother nodded with approval. Looking into the boy's eyes I thought I detected little star-shells of madness beginning to form and I guessed that one day they would explode.

'I would love you to do something for me,' I said.

'Anything! Anything!' the boy said rapturously.

'You won't like what I'm going to ask you to do,' I said.

'Anything, sir, anything!'

'Well,' I said, 'do you think you could promise never to see Star Wars again?'

He burst into tears. His mother drew herself up to an immense height. 'What a dreadful thing to say to a child!' she barked, and dragged the poor kid away. Maybe she was right but I just hope the lad, now in his thirties, is not living in a fantasy world of secondhand, childish banalities.
