Re: The Simpsons celebrating its 20th anniversary

Was the first episode the Simpson's Christmas special? I remember watching that (and loving it) with my family. Who would have known that the show would become so significant?

sorry for my ignorance, i like Simpsons a lot, but i just watched it recently, but this show doesn't seem fit for kids (many violence scenes as dolphins killing human, Simpson's baby used her milk bottle to attack people), is it for adults only

what about chinese martial art shows and movies we grew up with

justin bieber is not the best in history.
funk was better than rap.
techno not better than classic rock.

numbers are not everything.

not all... some cartoons and video games are restricted: PG 13,17 or adults.

I think the Simpsons was always intended as a cartoon for adults (or at least teenagers). Much of the humor goes over the head of younger children.

+1
the dolphins stuff was hilarious, and I think it was an Halloween episode, which would explain the killing and the blood.
