Canada is not getting 15 gold medals!!
Not on my watch
As a host nation, we still have to win one gold (none in Montreal, none in Calgary), so one would already be an achievement. 10 appears to be realistic but all needs to go well.
If all goes as good as it can, curling and hockey could bring 4, Groves, Nesbitt, Klassen and Hughes could win multiple in long track skating, our short track team could also bring a couple. There is Heil in moguls, Anderson in snowboard. Ice dance is very competitive this year, but anything but gold would be a disappointment. Those are the ones who could win gold.
For medals potential in general, skeleton should bring in a few medals, so can women's bob. Alpine skiing is not out of the question, Osborne-Paradis is doing well this year and our women do pop up on the podium unexpectedly at big meetings, so one or two alpine medals can be projected. Medals are not out of the question for the rest of figure skating also and speed skating in general.
We will be top 3 on the medal count for sure, but Germany will be tough to beat at the top.
