Jewellery

We have already a thread about tattoos so maybe we'd discuss about our jewellery (necklaces, earrings, rings, brooch, bracelets and maybe something more). What's we have been wearing, now and in the past. What does it mean for us, is any symbolism in that?
I punctured my left ear for the first time when I was 11. Since then I've punctured that ear in 7 places but never had more than 2 holes active. Usually I've got rather normal earrings, once as a teenager had a skull but it was short period of time Also three times punctured my navel, each time it was failure.
I remember my first necklace was silver with a cross, I got it at first communion but shortly after this, I decided to break my affiliation to religion and lost the necklace accidentally in bathtub Then through many years I was wearing a golden thin necklace from my old aunt (firstly with earrings on it, later with golden ring of my father), it was important because she was very good person for me. I lost this necklace just when I added second one with mask (bought in Venice). After a year lost this necklace playing tennis, and I've been wearing necklace with Spanish bull for a year (bought in Barcelona).
Once briefly I was wearing at the same time on the right hand Atlantis ring and Roddick's blue bracelet I feel ashamed of it because all those colorful bracelets were so popular a couple years ago and I came into fashion

Re: Jewellery

i have a silver dogtag and ring on a chain, they are both important to me.

i used to wear a silver ring but it got crushed in an accident, which upset me a lot.

i always wear bands round my wrist, i have 5 shagbands, a old tied shoelace, a wodden beaded band and a band of many different strings tied together round my wrist.

edit to exlain that bands on wrist bit cus it sounds weird, 2 pics showing what i mean

see now i don't seem so stupid saying shoelaces and string round my wrist lol

Do you remember on which finger you were wearing it? I had on ring finger, I read something about it once, Atlantis ring should be use differently in respect to sex and other things. I threw it away because bothered me when I was playing tennis or table tennis.

Mine was in the index finger. I remember it was supposed used to help me in my bone structure and it was in a good era I used it, when I was accepted in the university . Then I threw it away because I thought it was useless but now I miss it, I would use it again without putting too much belief into it

Re: Jewellery

I use one silver and black coral ring, nothing else. I don't care for necklaces, wristbands, earrings and other bijoux.

Re: Jewellery

Jewellery My weakness and my passion. Would take me too long to explain everything I wear and the significance of it, (it all means something to me), but I guess the most important thing I wear is my Mother's wedding ring which I've never taken off since she passed away when I was young. I have to wear it on my smallest finger, as she had much smaller hands than me and it doesn't fit on my own wedding finger. It's just a plain, gold band - rather old-fashioned looking and plain, but it means the world to me, and I would never take it off. I also wear her engagement ring and eternity ring with it when I go out.

I also wear a gold heart-shaped locket that my Father gave me on my 18th birthday, and a gold St. Christopher pendant which my very first boyfriend gave me I'm not religious at all, but he believed in the significance of St. Christopher the patron sait of travellers to keep people safe, and though we split up long ago, I still can't bring myself to stop wearing the talisman - just in case

I have my ears pierced twice and have a huge collection of ear-rings too - many of which I design and make myself. Lovely thread - thanks
