How much money does one need for a three month vacation?

Okay, so here's the thing:

Hopefully (God, Buddha, Mohammed willing), I will go to the Philippines next summer to visit/meet my Grandmother (mom's mom). This will be my first international trip EVER and only the fifth time being on a plane (the only other trip I've ever had was to Hawaii... and I did some inter-island flying)

I dunno if you know, but most Filipinos (at least the ones I know) generally vacation there for at least a month. I want to spend the whole summer there, which I think is rainy season for them, but it's really the only time I can go.

But since I've never really been anywhere... I don't know how much to save. I'm really only thinking spending money because:

A) i've asked my mother for a plane ticket for my 21st birthday
B) I've got a lot of relatives/friends to stay with. Hopefully I won't have to stay in too many hotels.

Also, any Filipinos know any cool, non typical tourist places to go? I'm for sure going to Boracay... they say you HAVE to go to that beach.... and then I don't know where else.

Also any general traveling tips would be great!

Well there is one thing I know about the Philipines.....it is ridiculously cheap and everyone is short. You are considered a giant if you are 6 feet. Sadly, there are a lot of poor neighborhoods, so you have to honestly to go the richer areas for more up-to-date fun I suppose.

Can't really help you with exact cost, but trust me, it isn't the most expensive place by far.

Federer / Haas / Safin / Gaudio / Kuerten / Youzhny / Nadal / Gonzalez / Ljubicic / Hewitt / Soderling / Wawrinka / Coria / Nalbandian / Kohlschreiber

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).
