Former NFL QB Steve McNair fatally shot

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair and a woman were found shot to death Saturday afternoon inside a condominium in downtown Nashville, police said.

Police spokesman Don Aaron said authorities were still investigating the shootings and that no suspects were in custody.

"I don't have any answers for you now as to what's happened, who's responsible," Aaron said.

Aaron said the 36-year-old McNair died of a gunshot wound to the head. He said police tentatively identified the woman, but did not release her name.

"There are persons who were around the complex today, visitors, who have been taken to headquarters for questioning, just to see what they know, what they may have seen," he said.

It looks like the woman killed McNair then turned the gun on herself. The guy had four kids. Just really sad.

Rest in peace, Steve McNair.

Re: Former NFL QB Steve McNair fatally shot

He had a wife and four children and has been having an affair with a 20 year-old waitress, including paying for a condo. Looks like she killed him. A day earlier she was arrested for drunk driving.
If he was not a famous football player nobody would be calling him a wonderful person.

True, he didn't appear to be a wonderful person but getting shot in the head seems to be a karmic punishment disproportionate to his "crime".

Just a tragic situation. His wife must be a wreck right now, especially if she didn't even know about her husband's infidelity in the first place. Damn.
