Are you aware of the way you are commonly perceived? If it is not similar to how you perceive yourself, will you try to change or will you ignore the external input?
The way I'm perceived on MTF is different to how I'm perceived in real life. On here, I'm considered something of an obsessed Murray fanboy. In real life, tennis rarely comes up in conversation.
I think most people would be different in real life. One thing that people on here would be surprised about is that I'm unfailingly polite in real life.
Edit: didn't properly answer the question.
It depends what the perception is. If it's something people don't like but that I value in myself, I won't try and change it. If people see an attribute in me that I personally don't like, I would try to change it.
