Re: MTF Fantasy Basketball

well, as nobody else seems to comment anymore.. Friday late night is not my perfect choice, but I'll get it arranged somehow as most seem to like it

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

6 PM New York
Midnight Berlin
9 AM Melbourne

or maybe one hour earlier or later ?

alternatively we could do the draft here, but it's 13 rounds à 12 players which is probably not enough as we would have to do roughly one round per day to get ready before the season starts..

Re: MTF Fantasy Basketball

I'm not going to add another date now when it would be good for me or when not.

I'm just going to wait when it is finally and see if I can join or not.

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Friday is fine for me, I'll be pretty drunk depending on the time so if Ryan Bowen is my first round pick you know why.

Re: MTF Fantasy Basketball

So is the draft definitely going to be held on Friday evening? If so, are we opting for the time that Deck suggested? I checked the draft page on espn.com a few minutes ago, and it still said, "Your Live Draft has not yet been scheduled." It would be helpful to have the draft time finalized several hours in advance. (Always helps to have advanced notice for planning purposes.)

Looking forward to getting this going one way or another...

Re: MTF Fantasy Basketball

and we could send some standard pm to everybody who hasn't confirmed or rejected the time in here, so that he/she sees it at least (I won't be able to do so until around 7 or 8 PM cet, so sb. else better does maybe)

Is the draft in order of current standings?

Grinder needs to setup the draft time within our game I think

Anyway I'll be there, looks like it's ok for many of the participants as well.

That's right. From espn.com:

"In standard leagues, the draft order is randomly determined before the live draft begins. The first pick of the draft will be "on the clock" within three minutes of the scheduled draft time, so all team owners should make sure they are ready to go before the scheduled start of the draft.

Owners participate in each round of the draft by taking turns selecting players in a snake draft format (i.e., 1-10, 10-1, 1-10, etc.). Each team drafts one player per round until all roster slots are full (including bench)."

I'll be there, too. (I'm not particularly worried - I just want to make sure that everyone knows ahead of time.)

Right now, on our "League Office" page, we have this:

Type: Live Draft
Date: None Selected
Time: None Selected
Secs Per Pick: 90

What we need is something like this:

Type: Live Draft
Date: Sat., Oct. 18, 2008
Time: 6:00 PM ET
Secs Per Pick: 90

(This is what we'll see on that league-office page after Grinder officially schedules the draft time.)

Edit: It's officially scheduled for Saturday now according to espn.com
