Atonement, Johnny Depp and Cate Blanchet

I suck at TT so there's no reason to brag with my 1st round exits :retard:
And I adore Radiohead

Re: Oscar Nominations 2008

"The Simpsons - Movie" not nominated. Most famous animated series in the world and one of the most successful series in general. When do these idiots think of honoring the makers?

I've given up on the Oscars and their stupid decisions. This year is nearly as worse as not giving Clark Gable the oscar in 1940.

I hope Atonement wins SWEET FANNY ADAMS, most over-rated film of the year if you ask me.

I understand that it was good, but I didn't like it.

George Clooney, Michael Clayton
Daniel Day-Lewis, There Will Be Blood
Johnny Depp, Sweeney Todd
Tommy Lee Jones, In the Valley of Elah
Viggo Mortensen, Eastern Promises

This is one of the closest races in years. Is there a clear favorite yet?

They say it's mainly between Daniel Day-Lewis and Johnny Depp.

Re: Oscar Nominations 2008

I just watched Michael Clayton last night. Tonight I will watch Away from Her and Eastern Promises

As for Atonement I'm slightly obsessed with it. but I love movies like that. Anyway, I give the director huge props for the Dunkirk scene that was practically one very very complicated scene all done in one shot, probably on a crane, but it was an incredibly complex scene. When I saw Atonement for the second time I was pretty much in awe of how much it must have taken just for that one scene, but the way it was shot was very moving.

ANYWAY I could talk about Atonement probably all day

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

American Gangster was put out as a true story, but it was mostly fiction. The Thailand scenes were laughable.
I watched Brad Pitt in Jesse James yesterday. He was superb.
Sweeney Todd was a rotten movie and Johnny Depp was miscast - come on - it was a musical - and Depp can't sing.
