playing dvds in slow-motion on a windows (xp) pc

Hey folks, maybe you could help me. As some of you know I need to hold an essay about Brazilian phonetics at the beginning of the new year. A friend of mine gave me DVDs in Brazilian and I can really use them as examples for the Brazilian pronounciation. But I have a problem. At one of the DVD the talk is soooooooo fast that I don't really understand that man. (Yes, I only know Portuguese for a bit longer than two years.) Some colleagues at uni told me that there is the possibility to play the DVD in slow-motion. Now here comes my problem. With WMP I can't play that DVD in slow-mo.

Does anybody of you know a program, which I can install on a windows-pc by which I can play the DVD in slow-motion?

Thanks in advance!
