Re: Despedida For Venezuela

It is a long, agonizing despedida, but as the shops close, the media go silent and the lights go out one by one, it does appear to be near an end.

Re: Despedida For Venezuela

It all was seen in Cuba before, for anyone caring a bit about looking back in history. That country, in 1958 one of the most advanced in Latin America, is now compared to Haiti without earthquake. Venezuela, always in the front group too thanks to its oil, is fast dropping down all the charts and will soon be a second Bolivia.

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

It's not perfect yet. The quake was a just bit off. It was supposed to have its epicentre below Guantanamo, thus allowing Obama to say it was now closed.

Re: Despedida For Venezuela

Wow, I haven't been to MTF in a while and I stumble upon this thread about the land that once saw me being born. It is a shame that Chavez has closed RCTV once again and forever. Whoever thinks Chavez is only loved by the popular masses and hatred by the High class is so wrong. I do agree that most of the wealthy people in Venezuela are in the opposition but that does not mean that they are the only ones. Hard working low-class citizens and middle class citizens also dislike Chavez.

Chavez's crew , meaning the people who have been working with him throughout this 10 years, are the new high class, buying Rolex watches, the best suits, Hummers, trips to Miami, Paris and New York, etc. By the way my grandpa came from Spain without a dime and he was able to make some money and start his own company years ago and now he is considered 'high class' but it wasn't because he stole from the masses, it was because he woke up everyday at 5 AM to go to work for 45 years (now he wakes up at 7 and goes to his company until noon at 82 years) And it goes the same with many of the people with economic power in Venezuela.

Re: Despedida For Venezuela

It has been a longer and more agonizing demise than I thought, but it does seem to be close now.

The little country with the largest oil reserves in the world is bankrupt, crime is rampant, shops are empty.

How many more "socialist" experiments will it take?

bc money and oil worth nothing if u dont have the brains to Manage it.

im not against I am not in favor of capitalism, I am for a softer version of capitalism and socialism.

if you cant work or sick the country should help you.
if you are just lazy you should get nothing.

Chavez's has ruined his country, cant say anyone is in shock what happened after his death

Hug it out as long as it takes, people
