2007 Arse Clown Contest voting format? Please Refer to New Poll

Time to vote on the format the contest should be using. There will be 9 days to vote for the format.

As the contest will start on the Tuesday morning Australian time after Bercy on November 6 and will continue until we have a winner.

Starting times will be staggered and if the best of 5 set rule wins, then any match not completed in 12 hours will be allowed 2nd votes.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Not sure about the profiles, see if I have the time to so.

Starting date is November 5.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

1 vote =1 game, best of 5, but maybe best of 7 for QF, SF and F

Re: 2007 Arse Clown Contest voting format?

Once a format is voted on and we are letting MTF decide it, then we should stick with it.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: 2007 Arse Clown Contest voting format?

1 vote = 1 game. Although it sometimes means people don't get to cast a vote if the time zone is bad for them, it's better than the matches dragging on and people ending up voting twice which is what would happen if it was 2 votes per game.

Re: 2007 Arse Clown Contest voting format?

Thanks for that Adam. I think that format is better personally, but each to their own.

The starting times for the rounds should be spread over as many areas as possible. There are a lot of matches to vote on as well.

Good thing that 1 vote = 1 game. Best of 5 sets with 5th set advantage is winning, cause I wanted to click that but clicked the 2 vote = 1 game option by mistake. :retard:

1 vote=1 game, best of 5.

Boring. Goes against the spirit of the competition and the forum.

1 vote = 1 game. Best of 5 sets with 5th set advantage
Most people win with just 18 votes, I don't think it's enough. But obviously this would be the easiest and most logical format.

2 votes = 1 game. Best of 5 sets with 5th set advantage
This format is fine but if it goes to a 5th set it should become 1 vote = 1 game. You're always bound to run out of voters in close matches. But it'a very tough to count half games and we got into a bit of a mess last year.

1,5 votes = 1 game
Shit, that's an even bigger nightmare than counting half games. 1 vote = 2/3 of a game.

Other
Best of 7 sets would OK too. Maybe like Adam suggested it could be introduce at the QF stage although I don't think we necessarily get more voters in the latter stages.

I want a timed vote, most votes win, but 24 hours is way too long. 12 to 18 would be better.

Sorry, but one vote=one game, best of 5 screwed too many people out of participating last time and I cannot support it. That's like letting the cool kids pick the class president, if you know what I mean. We have a huge international population here and the contest should allow as many people to vote as possible.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Best of 5 sets for sure. Best of 7 sets is stupid.

1 vote 1 game is fine. Easy enough.

Is there a thread somewhere where I can read how the contest works exactly?

Re: 2007 Arse Clown Contest voting format?

2 votes = 1 game

Should make the matches longer and give virtually anyone a chance to vote
