what a few superb bouts left this year starting tomorrow night with the Mexican legend Barrera out for revenge against the awesome Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao
Manny done a brutal job on him in 2003 and he's even better now and Barrera - older
but the big one of all in Dec: The Hitman Hatton against the big mouth overated Yank Mayweather, i cannot wait for it... its a tough one to call (bookies have Mayweather as strong fave)
i'd love the Hitman to bust his mouth even wider than it already is and i believe he can do it !!!!!!
see that bodyshot he used to destroy Castillo - 'half a ton' punch, oh you are in for some of that Floyd
The press conf's between Hatton and Mayweather was great stuff
Floyd flashing his dollars and wearing Man Unt shirts, Fat Ricky in his suit haha....
that is Hatton's style though, he'll burn that fat off 3 months before a fight with some brutal training and at the same time lulling his opponents into thinking he's out of shape and not taking it seriously.
2 unbeaten legends... one a spartan, one a ballerina - this is the sport where the Spartan wins.
Mayweather has actually had hand issues for a while now since before this fight with Hatton was scheduled- and he was receiving treatment for it in an episode of Hatton/Mayweather 24/7.
I know on this board every injury is an "excuse"- but this is not something Floyd created out of thin air.
From what I have seen/read- it seems like he wants to get boxing in while he can. Between all of his loud mouth boasting (which I should hate- it amuses me because it seems like he is playing a character)- he has verbalized concern that his body is breaking down. Which can happen after years and years of boxing. Boxing is for sure a sport that can not be too kind on the body.
His hand issues have been longstanding and if I recall correctly to be stemming from an injury that he sustained as an amateur in a 2001 fight against Carlos Hernandez- so again, I still don't buy that he is making up an injury or created a history of being buzzed about as having fragile hands all in anticipation of this fight v I can see why Ricky doesn't want it to be used as an excuse if he win, but my main point is these hand issues are not out of thin air.
I just hope it is a good fight- will be fun to see the two very contrasting styles. I imagine a lot of Maucurians will be coming to Las Vegas- should be a fun atmosphere. Now just need to decide whether we are going to watch it ppv at our home or a friends or go for the sports bar.

Hope I'm wrong though and Hatton pulls off the upset. Can just see Floyd cutting him to pieces as the fight goes on. Hatton will likely come out strong but as the fight goes, Floyd will dominate.
adeegee.. what if with the Hoff loving!!? he's a tool
nightrider in the 80's he was ok... then he went to Germany with a jacket with lights on and thought he was the main reason the Berlin wall was coming down - from then on :cuckoo:
the head rubbing was funny, always a bit silly looking more than tough looking .. but funny
Hitman cant let anger get in the way... last 2 times he's been over excited and wanted to blast someone away he's made big mistakes - against the colombian last year he was too eager to please and ended up with cuts on both eyes after 2 rounds before KO'ing him, and he wasnt clever against Callazo either.
<raises hand> This is one of the few PPVs that will actually be worth the outlay (porn aside).
