Federer loved by all the past tennis ATG

Among the dominant players of this generation and the past i don't think anyone is more loved by old ATG of tennis than Roger Federer.

I think the reason is quite obvious.. he is not a glory hog. He is sharing his achievments with the past era of tennis. He keeps telling people during interviews that he is a big fan of laver, rosewall, stefan edberg, and pistol pete sampras.

He never criticized an era instead he kept praising them.

Also, because of federer the old ATGs feel very relevant to the present of tennis. They show up to his championship matches and they get to share the glory.

A: well , it means a lot to me obviously .. you know .. to see this dedication from my fans , and as a professional attacking tennis player , I know it was a pretty difficult situation after 6 months of absence, but you have to keep being positive whatever happens , ya know .. talking my way .. not HER way , and who knows .. I may be able to be #1 again and smack that ass
