Bandana Designed For Roger Federer
Dubai, UAE, February 23, 2005: World No. 1 Roger Federer could have a new look thanks to the handy work of a Dubai school student.
The Swiss sensation, who today won his opening Dubai Men's Open encounter against Ivo Minar 6-7 6-3 7-6, was presented with a bandana which was designed by Seechelle Boehner from English College, Dubai.
The 14-year-old won the 'design a bandana for Federer' competition and today had the opportunity to present her award-winning design to the man himself.
The design, which included an impressive range of tennis related pictures, was created for Federer so Seechelle could present it to her idol at the Dubai Tennis Stadium.
Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, owners and organizers of the Championships, said: "We were delighted with the response of the competition which included over 600 entries from schools across the region."
