Roger practicing at USO -- thoughts on his draw

...hopefully he won't have a cold shower in the first round, as he's playing Acasuso, ranked 75 in the world. (the 21 yr old Argentine has lost 12 of his 16 first round matches this season.)

-not an easy draw if he makes it to the next rounds, playing either Norman or Lisnard (i saw him beat the latter in Gstaad). Also a difficult draw for Roddick who faces Henman in the first round. But the two could meet up in the semis.

-in the 3rd round (if he makes it, that is) await dangerous opponents, the US darling, James Blake, or Zabaleta.

- the 4th round (IF he makes it) will be critical as he's likely to face his nemesis, Nalbandian, who's beaten him 4 times now. Or Mark Philippousis, a repeat of the Wimby final, or Davis Cup rehearsal. The quarterfinals has Moya as opponent in question.

But for Roger, this is yet too far. After taking 4 days off, he picked up his racket again and practiced with former world no. 1 Lleyton Hewitt.
