I think some Rafa fans are paranoid. If you don't drool all over him that means you don't think he can play or think he's only good on clay. They've even resorted to bumping up old threds were a few Fed fans (esp. Dirk) said Rafa wouldn't do well on surfaces other than clay. Ok I think the point has been proven ad nauseum that Rafa's got incredible game and will do well on hardcourt.

I can't wait until next week when everybody's back in action. Especially since Marat, Andy and Lleytons results will factor into how they're seeded at the US Open. Roger and Rafa are safe so there's no drama there.

I mn kind of indiffferent toward Rafa except when he play people that I like. I prefer flashy players. I guess that would make me a hater according to the GM people. I can't wait when Gasquet reach his potential.

All will be made clear by the conclusion of US Open. I just plan to watch the rest of the hardcourt season unfold. Let's wait and see how much bragging and boasting is taking place at that point. Good luck Roger in Cincy and at the US Open.

This is so damn right

There are fans of rafa, and andy who dont mind federer that much at all. Devid comes to mind as an ardent rafa supporter but still staying grounded with rafa's achievements.
Agree with the first sentence, but hey are you kidding to have named this guy as an example? This is the guy who claimed a below-par Nadal can beat an in-form Federer on clay. If you think so too, then well...

I think some people are overreacting to the nadal federer matchup. The problems nadal presents players are no different to the ones that he presents federer. It's not like nadal is suddenly federer's nemesis. The h-h is 2-1. Still too early.
You see, Federer are taking so long a time off that people actually begin to miss him, not only us his fans...

You know that Federer isn't even in Montreal, but he got mention like 20 times during the Rafa match by the commentator.

You are so right, yanchr!! lol! Actually the haters miss Rogi more than his fans do!! They just can't stop talking about him [or rather trashing him] so don't worry -- it's when they stop talking about him that one s start to worry!!!

Hopp Rogi! Go Gonzo! Allez Gasquet!

Más vale maña que fuerza -- proverbio español
"Pero, con todos mis respetos para Rafa, Federer tiene más talento." - Marat Safin
"Pero para mí el mejor es Roger Federer. / For me, the best is Roger Federer." - D. Nalbandian
"He's the best sportsman, I think, in the world. He has a lot of humble." - Rafael Nadal
"He's so charismatic." - Marcos Baghdatis

See the opponents that he bumped into in this Montreal. I still keep my reservation as for his ability to do well on fast hard courts. He's got incredible game, ya, incredibly ugly but unfortunately efficient game.

Some of his fans are acting like Nadal has already climbed over Roger to be the No.1, which in my eyes, is still quite a long way to go. And they are like, Nadal now is in the same level as Roger, can play well on all surfaces, even will soon surpass Roger to be the king. I can't imagine what will happen if Nadal really does that all one day (which I hope and think won't). Some Nadal fans out there are really making me sick every time I see their ID. So better just ignore them.

Yeah, the commentators just couldn't help that I heard his name numerous times when I was watching Nadal matches. I know the commentator esp the older one just miss Roger so much like we do
