No offence but that's a bit arrogant to say that you're the one saying to stay modest here

Third, I know that Fed's fanbase is a group of nice people with a few rotten apples who are unfortunately very loud and stupid at the MTF. It's true that some Nadal's, Roddick's fans are no better, if not worse.
that is the point!!! The trouble is you'll nener be able to avoid that kind of posters to behave that way, it's just a case of ignoring them see my post above

As a dominant No1, Federer is naturally hated the most; a lot of people would love to see his fall. So in my opinion, it wouldn't hurt if Fed's fans behaved smart and left comments like " Federer is the king" for this forum. At least for now.
As much as I am a federer fan, I have been fan of other players before Roger and I think fans sometimes should realise how lucky they have been with his career so far and this kind of comment even tend to annoy me sometimes

Re: ********CINCINNATI MS*********

Seems there are some threads on GM that are just flames, just there to get people all riled up, and some specifically to wind up over sensitive Fed fans. It's best to ignore them or at least try to get it back to a more civilized discussion. But I don't think most Fed fans are there proclaming Roger to be king of the world on a daily basis. It's all about Nadal right now anyway. Seems to be a double standard though as I don't see many people (if any at all) complaining about all the Rafa gushing over there. But yet a few Fed fans are a bit obnoxious (sometimes baited by others) and we're told to be quiet and shut up?

I was replying to this.

Why have to take it so serious to remind us of the gap between 1 and 2? We should know better than you.

You also don't have to remind us of their bad match-up. Again we should know better than you.

If someone explains to me who are "we", and what "they" know better than me, I don't mind to admit that I was in the dark. But right now I don't quite understand what's it all about.

Edited to add: Never mind. I've got a PM from the original poster. It's all clear now. Thanks yanchr.

It's alright Better to make things more clear than not between Fed fans

So I guess we'd better collect our focus on how Roger will perform in his next--after his unprecedentedly long break --tournament rather than get ourselves involved in that kind of messy talk about Nadal vs Roger.

So Go Roger Go You'd better shut people up like you always do

Re: ********CINCINNATI MS*********

Expected, the injury isn't serious but Roger is listening to his doctor's orders. He is smart with his schedule and won't over do it. Nadal will not catch him this year and next year both men will have lots of points to defend. Roger won't lose number one unless he gets bored or injuried. The next player will have to make the game look easy and play such a style. Nadal's style is too physical for dominance vs. Federer's. Roger should be fine for Cincy and the USO.

As for the tension, it's always there between fans of number 1 and 2.
Im not sure if you got this answer, I just woke up and yestreday night I could not come here.
But the person that calls Roger king, always did it,. some of us call him Rogi, champ.. are nicknames used her, on the part dedicated to roger of the MTF, as nicknames and who post here frequently.. well we are like a big family and we put nicknames

At 19 I expect him to last at least 3 seasons. Most likely he'll be picking at those years. Players whose game's cornerstone is running and retrieving in 80-85% cases are picking very early.

Hopefully you are right, and Roger's ready for the USO.
