Re: ********CINCINNATI MS*********

I hope they both make to to 3rd round. I guess both are playing hurt a little, Ljubo has little back problem.

i hope to watch them on TV in 3rd round. Should be a good match

Yeah hopefully they wil both make it, Roger seems to have the 'I cant get through the 1st round in Cincy' mentality. Hope he breaks it this time and they both go deep into the tournie, well atleast 1 will hopefully.

Re: ********CINCINNATI MS*********

Not the easiest of draws but not a catastrophe as long as he is back to 100% fitness. Not having had much match practice in a long time could be a bit of a factor but if he finds a way through his first couple of matches he should be ok for the rest of the tourney. IMO he will either lose in either the 1st or 2nd round again or end up winning the event (or at least making the final if he faces piggy there and the latter is in sublime form).

I was thinking exactly the same We have already taken too much for granted. But I doubt Roger has not wanted to win whatever tournament he plays other than clay. He has really very poor records in Cincy. I hope he can get at least three matches to play to warm up reasonably for USOpen, thinking of his current conditions.

As for the tension, it's always there between fans of number 1 and 2.
Are we celebrating already? And in a Roger fan's eye, Roger is the king, is there anything wrong? I mean, in a Nadal fan's eye, Nadal is also the king. It's just a way of how specific fans express their like for the specific player. Why have to take it so serious to remind us of the gap between 1 and 2? We should know better than you.

To be honest, there are some Fed's fans that can put anybody off. Some crazy girls think that they should bring Fed's name into an every thread, it's annoying. The others try to play down Nadal's achievements. It's stupid to say the least. Ugly or pretty, it's obvious that he can play on hc. And don't forget that Roger's game matches up badly with Nadal's. So it'd be smart to sit tight, shut up for a while and wait till your man delivers on hc this summer. Then you are free to celebrate.
Fans are equal. You said there are Fed's fans that can put anybody off while it's also true for me at least that there are Nadal's fans that can do the same treat and maybe even worse. It's the truth that Federer is still quite safe with his No.1 position. And you don't even know how some Nadal's fans will react and what they will flood the forum with to put you off when Nadal actually climbs to the No.1 ranking. You never know people's espeically fans' potential. He can play on hard court, I'm not denying that. You also don't have to remind us of their bad match-up. Again we should know better than you.

And can you pick up specific fans here posting regularly in Federer's forum who often talks shit around? If you fail to find more than three, then you'd better shut up here in the Federer forum. Save your words for those whoever deserve them. If you want to teach a lesson about how we Federer fans should behave, it's the wrong place.

Sorry for the unpleasant words here. I'm just saying, admit it or not, most Fed fans are pretty good fans, thinking of Roger's achievements already.

I agree most Federe fans are smart but it's the same for any player you know In most cases a couple of trolls are enough to give a bad image of the fans as they're the ones who make themselves noticed particularly in GM (where I personally hardly go because I hate shit spread on my faves but on any player really)... So I hope Expectedwinner realises that, otherwise it's not worth going on about it

You are right

I finally finished reading the 'charisma' thread in GM which I believe brought up what Expectedwinner has said. I forgave him I can't help at this whole thread reading it through. If you are boring, I suggest you give it a read

Re: ********CINCINNATI MS*********

I like the draw --until the SF stage its challenging but not so difficult. At the SF's probably agassi (I still don't expect marat to play let alone play well), and we'll see after that. GOOD LUCK ROJAH!!

Roger has a tough draw but he loves those. I think it's way too early to say Nadal will make the finals. This draw is tougher than his Canada one. It should be very interesting.

Hi, yanchr. I don't know where to start.

First, I've been Fed's fan since September 1999 when I saw him beating Pioline in Tashkent. Long enough, I think. So I have no idea what you or anybody else here know better than me. Also I've been playing tennis myself since 10 yo, and I dare to think that I understand the game of tennis a little bit. . Probably you mistakenly took me as a Nadal's fan. I have a lot of respect for his results, but very little little appreciation for his pigbull style.

Second, I didn't intend to offend anyone. In real life I always say things like I see them, why should I be different here? I don't keep track of who is posting where. I decided that if I want to say smth to Fed's fans, I'd better do it here, than at the MTF. I didn't want to point a finger at anyone, I'm sure they know their names.

Third, I know that Fed's fanbase is a group of nice people with a few rotten apples who are unfortunately very loud and stupid at the MTF. It's true that some Nadal's, Roddick's fans are no better, if not worse. But if your neighbor comes home drunk every night and beats up his wife, it doesn't mean you should follow his example. As a dominant No1, Federer is naturally hated the most; a lot of people would love to see his fall. So in my opinion, it wouldn't hurt if Fed's fans behaved smart and left comments like " Federer is the king" for this forum. At least for now.

Why for now? Because there's some uncertainty with his nagging injury. Because for the first time there is a real danger for his No 1 ranking. Because he's 24 yo. lol. I beleive that 24-25 is a bit of a crossroad for a tennis player like Roger. The body of a professonal player at this age is a little worn out already and doesn't recuperate as fast as at 18-19. He has to set his priorities. It might mean that he'll be concentrating on Slams only. It might mean that he''ll have to give up on no1 ranking. Only time will tell.

Ok, I'm done with explanations. The draw in Cinci looks OK to me. The most important thing is to stay healthy.

Re: ********CINCINNATI MS*********

I am sooo happy that Roger is playing again. I´ve really missed him in the last few weeks. I am not so happy with Roger´s first round opponent. James is a dangerous player and Roger could be a little bit rusty. I think that he should win a few matches this year (unike in 2004).

But anyway, good luck Rogi!
