Re: Roger's schedule after Wimbledon 2005

It's a little hard for Roger to fly to Thailand and play right after Davis Cup because of a possible jet lag, I hope it's not going to be a problem. And those 3 weeks of tournaments (Madrid, Basel, BNP Paribas).......

I am glad though that Roger is not playing Gsstad. I think that is a bit too much for him, especially if he wins Wimbledon.

Yeah the last two years he was there but I think it is a good decision from him not to play there (anyway I go there to see the final...I hope a Gaudio-Wawrinka final )

Re: Roger's schedule after Wimbledon 2005

Apart from the "havoc" caused either by Bangkok or the Davis Cup ( depends on your perspectives), it looks rather reasonable to me. Basel is probably the one he craves most after Wimby. Unfortunately, such minor events like Vienna ( ) are not on his schedule any more which I fully understand, but nevertheless deplore .

Re: Roger's schedule after Wimbledon 2005

Rogi still have Bangkok on his schedule...wow

I wish for his best interest he will skip it but the selfishness in me am glad to see him in Asia again

Rogi just do your best for the next 2 motnhs and after that you have nth more to defend basically till TMC...finally he can relax a little!

Re: Roger's schedule after Wimbledon 2005

The only three plausible reasons for rogi to play bangkok are :

The pts race gets tight-unlikely
He wants the appearance money bad
He doesnt give a hoot about madrid and will skip it

None of these, but he understands the potential of the Asian market for tennis.

Another reason, he is invited by TMC organization to come to Shanghai for the inauguration of the new tennis club where TMC is going to happen. So he comes to Bangkok and gives a drop-by to Shanghai, I hope, and believe.
