LAUREUS WORLD SPORTS AWARDS

I know we still want to enjoy this moment after Roger's win in Hamburg, but Roger goes to Portugal tomorrow for this years Laureus World Sports Award Ceremony. Just a reminder,, Roger is nominated for the Best Sportsman of the Year among Lance Armstrong, Hicham El Guerrouj, Michael Phelps, Valentino Rossi, and Michael Schumacher.

I think Roger has a great chance to win this oscar of sports this year, because of his achievement in the year 2004, including 3 slam titles and other many titles.

Roger, Chiudi, Stan the Man, Michi, Timea, Swiss guys and girls

good luck RF!!

Thanks stevens!!
Yeah! Nice award, but even if Rogi won't get it, the valu of his achievemant in 2004 doesn't change at all. ( of course I hope he will win it )

I hope Rogi won't get tired too much because of such busy schedule...

I worry about his feet, too.

You are right, Nocko. It won't change anything for Roger, even though someone else wins it. But I think he deserves this award this year because,

1, Lance and M. Schumacher have won this award a couple of times already, let's give Roger this award, please jury members...

2, El Guerrouj won two big races in Athens, but Roger won 3 big ones.

3, Michael Phelps won many golds in Athens, but afterwords he was arrested because of drunk and drive (you can drink legally with 21 years old or older in the States. He is still under 20) and overspeading.

4, and Rossi,,,, MMMmmmm, he was as great as Roger last year..... I think,,, but still I have a feeling Roger still has the edge...

Roger, Chiudi, Stan the Man, Michi, Timea, Swiss guys and girls

good luck RF!!

Not sure, but I guess so. What I think great of Rossi, is he won the MotoGP in 2003 with Honda, whose engine is considered to be the fastest, and he changed to Yamaha, considered slower than Honda, and he won MotoGP with Yamaha in 2004 as well...

You analysis makes great sense I agree with you. Roger has a good chance to claim the award, very good chance methinks. I hope this award can be given to the most deserving sportsman. And it's time for a TENNIS player at last to claim the title of the best male sportsman of the year.

Wish Roger good luck tomorrow

:
He only has to peak for two weeks while Roger kept his form all year long.

Re: LAUREUS WORLD SPORTS AWARDS

I said above why Roger "deserves" this award, but I think it will be one of these guys, Roger, Lance, Schumacher, and Rossi,

Lance Armstrong (he should change his name to "Legstrong.") won 6 consecutive Tour de France titles, and noone has ever done this.

The last year was one of the most dominant years for Schumacher.

Rossi,, I wrote it in my previous posts.

If one of the other two wins this, It would be a huge surprise for me.....

Roger, Chiudi, Stan the Man, Michi, Timea, Swiss guys and girls

good luck RF!!

Unfortuantely, after Lance made his annoucement that this is his last Tour,
I suspect ther will be some emotional capital to give it to the guy again
