Us Open 2013 - The Beast Has Been Awoken Inside Roger

Hey guys ,
Know this is early but thought i'd start the US open thread so we can all discuss Rogers campaign and discuss the draw when it comes out in a few days times .
I will provide Rogers first round opponent , his full draw with potential opponents and the link to the full draw if anyone is interested .
We all saw Roger being able to play pain free finally in Cincy and even though he lost to Nadal where he had a big chance to win he almost beat arguably the best in form player at the moment and showed us in almost 2 sets his best tennis this year and his fighting spirit and mental game by saving 4 MP's and almost taking a break which is exciting things to come if he keeps this form up
So here's to Rogers US Open campaign and best of luck to the King and let's all have fun and hope for a great result and maybe even a US open win

Round 1 : Zemlja
Round 2: Giraldo/Berlocq
Round 3: Querrey
Round 4: Nishikori
Quarter Finals: Nadal/Isner
Semi Finals : Ferrer/Gasquet/Raonic/Janowicz
Final : Djokovic/Murray

I am quite confident that he has found his form again. With a favourable draw he might get to the semifinal... But I just hope for some good matches and at least the fourth round without losing to somebody unknown.
BTW what do you think does his facebook post about an exhibition match he would play tomorrow mean?

I guess it's a sponsor event.
"Tomorrow, in honor of a very special anniversary, I take on a new opponent who I have never played before… Can you guess who? Save the date, check in tomorrow for the match!"

Re: Us Open 2013 - The Beast Has Been Awoken Inside Roger

I have a really really good feeling after his Match against RAFA. He his hopefully total pain free.
We all know what he is capable of. But let's wait for the draw first.

Btw. In a German TV Channel, they wrote an article about ROGER because of his 7th Seed at the US Open and they ?accidentally? mentioned, that he has 18!!! Slams won so far! Coincidence? I don't think so

I Love Tennis.

Have booked my trip to NYC for the event, and will hopefully be able to see him play. Definitely looking forward to this tournament more than any other, as I've never seen him, or any other player for that matter.

Re: Us Open 2013 - The Beast Has Been Awoken Inside Roger

by the way, what do any of you kind souls have to suggest in terms of me getting tickets? i'm not buying them until the day before when i know who's playing the day or evening session... any suggestions? i realise i'll probably end up paying a premium for this, but that's okay.

any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks.

How exciting that you will attend your first tournament ever

I'm sure you will really enjoy it.

It's so special to see Roger play

Sorry, I can't help you with the questions about the tickets as I have never been to the USO.

That reminds me: on the 8th, the hard copy of the Daily Telegraph deducted a year from Roger's age . Bet they've put it right in the online copy by now ...

Walto, I love your title - do so hope you're right.
