Re: Hamburgers and Frankfurters for Roger: THE HAMBURG THREAD: Def Mayer 7-6 (4) 3-6

I think we have to accept that Fed isn't flexible like he used to be and he won't bend on the serve as far, whether his back is ailing him or not. He isn't going to go back to 2007 where he bent almost in half.

Strange that while he looked much worse against Wawrinka in IW (arm serving and not bending at all to receive) he never did this.

Ended up watching a replay of the match a few hours ago, my god was i nervous in the 3rd. Must have been hell watching it live! Anyway, I hope Roger's back isn't an issue again for today. His serves weren't up to scratch yesterday for the most part

You watched without knowing the result? I've often done so myself, when possible.

As a "live-watcher" I'll say it was nerve-wrecking all right. And yes, we all hope the back is OK today. Two aces yesterday and few free points on serve was not promising.

Yea as soon as I woke up I started torrenting the match without looking at any news or MTF, went out for the day and jumped on the computer as soon as I got home. I'm one of those people who can't stand to watch any sport knowing the results prior, it takes all the tension and excitement out of it for me

Anyway I think Roger should be ok today provided he is ok physically, I don't know much about his opponent though

Fognini has reached the final after beating Almagro. Fed has played five sets against Fog and lost 8 games in total....just saying...

When I have macthes recorded I always see the result first. Don't have the willpower to watch the match without knowing the result.

I'm the same way, always has been Not the same watching when you know the result, regardless of which sport we're talking about. But I don't have to get it live. Not knowing is enough

Didn't he played against the Fog back in 2007 in a Masters Event, i think in the US? Fognini was only a Youngster back then.

I wish you a lot of fun out there

/me taking up my seat at centre court Hey champras, if you're following by phone, once again, enjoy

"When I'm asked, how is it to be around Federer, and what is he really like, I always reply, "I wish people could meet him when cameras or an audience aren't around, as he is one of the nicest people I have ever met when stringing on tour. " -- drakulie
